WCP Solar was contracted to design and construct a residential roof mounted solar system located in Sugar Grove, Illinois. This grid connected system ties directly into the Commonwealth Edison Utility’s (ComEd) power grid and generates enough electricity to provide power to more than 98% of the home electrical needs.
The project was sized at 19.28-kWp1, using 241 CdTe Thin Film frameless photovoltaic panels rated at 80-W mounted on a 30 degree tilted roof. The system also employs 40 P-405 SolarEdge power optimizers and (2) 7.60Kw AC rated string inverters to convert the DC energy produced by the solar System into AC energy.
1 Estimated production of over 598 Tons of CO2 - Equivalent to Planting over 13,491 trees or driving reduced by 1,196,600 auto miles, or 61,026 gallons of gasoline.
